Online B Class Reflection

Technology is important because it allows us to communicate with people all around the world. It allows us to share things with other people and sell things without selling it to them in person.Technology has changed over the last five years by improving with people coming out with new things like hospital equipment, i Pads, smart phones, and other things. I think technology will change in the next five years by people improving the things they have created now to do more things like smart phones will be able to recognize you by your voice or by physically seeing you.

The technology I use for schoolwork is my cell phone, iPod, calculator, and computer. technology I use for personal use is my cell phone to text and e-mail friends so I can talk to them without being there.

Some of these tools I will use in the future by creating spreadsheets and documents using Google Docs. as a quick and easy way to share it with friends. I will also use some of them to communicate and share things with other people. I think online apps would be the most practical for lifelong learning because it allows you to do everything right on one sight and be able to share it. The tools I think I will never use again out of High School is Blogs, Wikis, Digital Storytelling, Digital Portfolio, and Screen casting. The one I liked creating the most was my Digital Portfolio on Weebly. My least favorite was the Career Exploration tool.

Two comparisons of screencastomatic and screenbird.com are they both give you the option to control your computer and navigate as you are recording. They also allow you to copy the embed code and pause and go when needed. Both websites where very user friendly and allowed you to navigate easily. I like screencastomatic better because as you were navigating it showed a yellow circle around what you were on making it easier for the user to copy what was being said and done in the video.

Screen cast Blog

A screen cast is a digital recording of the computer screen output similar to video screen capture which contains sound/voice recording. I like being able to guide through the steps just like I was doing it without showing it to someone like the way you could got click on things while we were recording. I dint have any dislikes about it. This could be helpful to me because if I forget how to navigate to a website or how to create something I can look back at this and follow my directions. I think this is most helpful to people who are maybe deaf they can follow the screen to see where to go and helpful to new internet users.

How to use Google Docs.

Windows live vs. Google docs.

Windows Live and Google Docs. are similar because both have tabs to choose information from and to find information. They also both allow you to create spreadsheets, power points, word documents, and ect. Both allow you to title your document and categorize them. They both also allow you to copy embed codes and much more. They are different because windows live is a little bit more complicated because there are more options on there like you have to saver it yourself it doesn't automatically save like Google docs. Google docs does not make you name your document it just gives you the choice and windows live makes you name your document first thing before continuing. I prefer Windows Live because it is just like you are using word documents and things and it makes you name your documents so you don't loose them. And it makes you save yourself and I am use to that I don't like when it does it automatically because later when you are thinking you think oh I didn't save it and you think it is gone so if I save it myself I can remember it got saved.

New Emerging Technology

The Samsung Galaxy S 3 smartphone with voice and face recognition and the company in London hopes to become the leading challenger to Apple and its iPhone 4s. this device has a 4.8 inch screen with an 8 megapixel camera with a backing orchestra. Samsung overtook Apple in the smartphone sale in the 1st quarter hoping to do it again. Recognizes the user looking at it and ensures that the screen doesn't go dark while it has eye contact. Face recognition software identifies Facebook friends within images and prompts the user to share them.They do not know what the prices are expected to be yet.

Cluster results

The cluster that was best suited for me was transportation, distribution, and logistics. Some of the jobs that fall under this cluster are commercial pilot, air traffic controller, logistician, logistics manager, engineering technician, motor vehicle inspector, production and planning clerk, shipping and receiving clerk, and many more. Skills needed are you need to be able to plan, manage, transport people, you need to be be able to work with equipment, and you need to know facts about things, and be able to distribute things well. I don't think that it is the best fit for me i think it is a really good choice to think about doing but personally i don't think it is best fit because that's not something I'm good at and enjoy doing.

Google docs is a document that lets you create spreadsheets, surveys, and power points and things. It is like word, excel, power point, access, and publisher all in one.
Wikis are websites you can create of your own to share information to other people and things about you.
Assistive technology is technology used by individuals with disabilities in order to perform functions that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to them. Can be used to help blind, hearing loss, paralyzed, and others disabled.
Electronic Portfolios are collections of evidence assembled and managed by a user, mainly on the web. Used like evidence saver for information taken off of the web electronically.

Google Docs Project Wrap-Up

What I liked about google docs is that we had the ability to create are own forms to share with the class and we could chat are friends while doing work. And also it would automatically save for us. What I disliked about google docs is that you had to save everything to a differant file in like word and then go back and upload everything. I loved the fact that we can work on the same document as are partners beacause we could chat each other information and questions without even moving around the room. I think Googles google docs is great and perfect there is nothing to improve. Overall I think my project turned out great and there were no problems with it at all.

You need a tattoo and what they found is that the magnetic material in the phone interacts with the magnetic ink embeded into the skin to interact with an electromagnetic field in the phone.The interaction creates a stimulas to let you know that you have a message or something.
